Product Manager

The company's visual learning tools are used by more than 25 million people worldwide and are revolutionizing visual thinking and learning in education.

The Product Manager is the expert on the products and their markets. Along with senior management the Product Manager holds the vision for the products, sets product direction, and champions the products throughout the company and the products' markets. This is an individual contributor position that reports directly to the President. This individual's key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing the vision for the products and evangelizing the products inside and outside of the company.
  • Investigating and determining requirements for product updates and new products, including developing and presenting business cases to Senior Management for review and approval.
  • Working with the development team on the development and implementation of the software products.
  • Managing the development of all product materials, content and supplemental product materials for the products, working with outside vendors and internally across company.
  • Working with customers to beta test and provide functionality feedback.
  • Working with marketing and sales on product launches and ongoing promotional efforts for all products.
  • Initiating and managing third party relationships and key customer relationships that drive use, adoption and sales of the products.

Position requirements includes:

  • Bachelors degree required, MBA desired
  • Minimum of 8-10 years product management experience required, including guiding product development
  • Experience as a Product Manager for packaged software and/or web-based software product desired
  • Excellent written and organizational skills required
  • Good oral presentation skills required
  • Strong teaming skills
  • Ability to manage complex details, prioritize and track workload
  • Ability to manage complex projects and guide work that spans multiple departments is required.
  • Ability to interact with and influence Development, Marketing, Sales, and Training groups and inspire them to a common goal.
  • Ability to interact with and influence customers and partners.
  • Experience working in an Agile Development environment with Scrum teams desired.
  • Ability to travel approximately 6 -8 times annually.

Marketing Programs Manager

The company's visual learning tools are used by more than 25 million people worldwide and are revolutionizing visual thinking and learning in education.

As a member of the marketing team, the Marketing Programs Manager will report to and work closely with the Head of Marketing in maximizing profit and revenue by developing, planning and executing online, social media and traditional marketing programs. The Marketing Programs Manager will be responsible for demand creation for the products and for lead generation for sales while optimizing ROI.

To reach this goal, the Marketing Programs Manager will:

  • Conduct strategy, detailed planning, and forecasting of marketing programs and campaigns.
  • Develop and manage email campaigns and social media programs.
  • Develop and manage national advertising campaigns including both print, social media, and eMarketing.
  • Develop and manage channel marketing programs.
  • Plan and manage trade show and conference participation.
  • Develop and manage an annual award and scholarship program to create demand for the products.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in marketing, business, or related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • 8+ years experience developing and executing marketing programs that drive demand and lead generation.
  • Experience in consumer or education software marketing desired.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and managing advertising campaigns that utilize a variety of media including but not limited to print, social media, and eDirect marketing.
  • Experience working with Resellers to promote and sell software products desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to grasp new features, products, and functionality, translate that to benefits for the market and promote these to the market.
  • Effective ability to work with others to drive projects throughout the organization.
  • Utilize latest social networking tools and technologies to create/market niche user communities.
  • Ability to know how and when to make a decision, problem solve, analyze, and manage projects.
  • Strength in managing to budget, analyzing and reporting results.
  • Excellent written and oral skills required including the ability to write marketing copy and to demonstrate products at trade shows.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Visual thinking software programs and methodologies experience a plus.
